Okay, let's dive in!
I started Shadow & Aurum Atelier LLC during my time as a stay at home mom. I was gifted an apothecary book by my fiancé. Apothecary is most easily explained as a person who uses herbs for medicinal purposes. I lead a busy life. That being said I didn't touch the book for months. One day my husband reminded me to take a look at it. After sifting through all of the pages I fell in love.
I began spending my time learning how to make tinctures, deconcoctions, teas, soaps, candles, oil infusions... the list goes on. I started to delve further in to a holistic approach to caring for my loved ones and myself. First I began making soaps and soups for at home use. Before I knew it I was getting requests to create items for more friends and family. I received loads of praise and good reviews. It made my soul smile! Within three months I decided I wanted to reach farther.
I had always loved the aroma I would smell walking into nature's markets. The more time I spent surrounded by these scents at home I grew more enthralled. I have always been my happiest when I am able to offer help to people especially when it helps to change their lives for the better. While I will not make any medical claims. I do believe plants provide benefits to our body more than the average person knows. I am so thankful that I have been given the opportunity to create a luxury apothecary style holistic versions of every day products that seem to make people happier and healthier.
